Exercise Region of Interest

This exercise is focused on setting up the Region of Interest box (ROI box).

Requirements

Before starting on this exercise we advise you to read the following articles:

Task

  • Assume that the balls need to be picked from the bin. Create a good Region of Interest for this application.

  • (Bonus) Detect all the balls in the bin.

Tip

A good Region of Interest shows all the items in the bin but not the bin itself.

How to get started

Follow the next steps to complete the exercise.

  1. Download the snapshot file here to your computer.

  2. Connect your computer to the Pickit Web interface.

  3. In the user interface of Pickit, go to the Snapshots page.

  4. Press Upload snapshot and select the file.

  5. The file can now be found under snapshots/uploads.

  6. Finish the exercise.

  7. Save a snapshot with your current detection results.

  8. Name your snapshot Solution_RegionOfInterest_1_NameCompany.

  9. Download the file from the snapshots folder.

  10. Send your solution to support@pickit3d.com to receive feedback.
